There is nothing warmer and gratifying than a grandmother knit for her grandchildren. And when Veena Sahni became a grandmother to twins Veer and Meera, there was no stopping. After a successful career over 40 years within Payroll and HR with companies like Jet Airways, Veena took it upon herself to knit for her grandchildren ever since they were born. Friends and family would always admire the sweaters and cardigans Veer and Meera wore and she started knitting for many more kids around her. Veena's younger son, Dhruv, an entrepreneur himself, has been the driving force behind VeeMee Creations (named after Veer and Meera). He believes every family should experience the love and warmth of hand-knitted woolens.
Dhruv's push and Veena's passion for knitting led to the making of this family-owned business. VeeMee Creations amongst other things offers caps, scarfs, woolen socks, entire baby sets, ponchos, leggings and baby cots for infants, toddlers and young children. Each piece is hand-knitted and there is great variety in the designs, patterns and colours. These handmade creations are made in a space of joy, love and respect. Those same values somehow find their way into the very fibre of a handmade item. Every inch of the yarn that forms a hand-knit garment once flowed through the fingers of the maker who knit the garment with intention and purpose.
